Ever feel like your life is full of trouble? Like no matter how hard you try–you just can’t seem to get anything right? It almost feels like your life is somehow experiencing some sort of “glitch” or temporary malfunction (almost like a computer, cellphone, or garage door opener–I’ll explain this a little later!).

Just like that troubled computer system, you may feel like life is full of glitches. Whether it’s kid trouble, friend trouble, or even trouble with the lady you see in the mirror each morning, problems are there. They are inevitable! Say Amen if you can relate with me ladies! 😊

This Interesting Thing Called…Life!

Life can be quite interesting most of the time. One minute you feel like you’re on top of the highest mountain peak–the next minute, you feel like you’re in the lowest valley you can imagine. Some days are good. Some are a total disaster! 😬

It’s important to remember that life happens–that life is full of glitches. I thought about this a few weeks ago (which inspired this post) as I battled with my universal garage door opener going bonkers as I tried opening our garage upon returning home from an outing.

I sat there pushing buttons for nearly five minutes, until finally…I gave up! Needless to say, it was frustrating! At this point, I decided to send my son in with his key to unlock the front door so he could open the garage from the inside. This was not the first time we’ve experienced problems opening the garage with the remote. But for whatever reason, this particular day just wasn’t my day. I was definitely not in the mood for a wrestling match with a tiny remote control.

As I sat there struggling (which by the way–I lost the wrestling match!), it dawned on me–this remote has glitches! Shortly after opening the garage, I tried it again, and wouldn’t you know it–the door immediately CLOSED with no problem at all. It was experiencing those crazy glitches!

Glitches all Around Me

Come to think of it, my life is full of glitches! My phone glitches (most of the time, thanks to unlimited data…lol). Our Netflix glitches. Our laptops will often

experience glitches while my children work on their school lessons. But that’s not all.

It would take days to tell you about all the glitches my body goes through due to good old “perimenopause” and “fibromyalgia.” I literally hurt every day, from head to toe…literally! My knees glitch. My neck glitches. My elbow, back (especially upper), feet, and legs glitch like an old dial up computer (I’m dating my age right here!). Come to think of it, my whole body glitches! Let’s face it–I’m a glitching hot mess! I’m just one glitch away from going bonkers myself!😂

Seeing Christ in the midst of my Glitches

God shows me spiritual truths in some of the most silliest ways (just as he did in the Bible). These truths are so powerful, and always something I can apply to everyday life. Life does not always go as planned. Sometimes God will allow glitches to happen in my life to show me how much I need Him.

I can’t live this life without His help. Everyday He leads me and guides me throughout this journey. As I focus on the glitches in life (which are only temporary problems), I lose sight of who my focus should be on. And that someone is JESUS CHRIST.

He can take my troubled, dysfunctional life (full of glitches) and turn it into a beautiful masterpiece, only if I allow Him to. God does not force me to trust Him, but He does have a way of nudging me when I’m going against His will in areas of my life. He sends glitches to humble me. To keep me on my knees. To rely on His strength, and not my own. Thank God for the glitches of life!

Encouraging Words from the Heart❤

Trust in God even during the storms (AKA…glitches). No matter how difficult your problems may seem, God has the solution to every problem you face. Look to His Word for guidance.

Are you willing to allow the glitches of life to mold you into who God wants you to be? Trust the Master’s hand. He knows what’s best for you.
